Duncans jumps up on fertiliser unit revival plan

Duncans Industries hit a new 52-week high of Rs 36.95 on BSE on Thursday on back of news that the company is planning to re-start its fertiliser unit in mid-August.
 
The stock in Thursday's subdued market hold on to its early morning gains to end 5.2 per cent higher to close at Rs 36.95. The counter witnessed volumes of more than 3.5 lakh shares on BSE on Thursday.
 
Sources said, the fertiliser unit which was closed for the last three years has an installed capacity of 7.25 tonne per day, and once operational, may record a turnover of Rs 800 crore.
