Earnings from exports up 26% in April

The country's average earnings from chilli exports rose 26 per cent to Rs 57.50 a kilo in April compared with Rs 45.32 in the same period a year ago, according to data from Spices Board.
 
Higher earnings per kg have pushed up the total value of chilli exports by 320 per cent to Rs 126 crore compared with Rs 30.1 crore in the same period, a board official said.
