EOW attaches assets worth Rs 3,100 crore on NSEL case

Has frozen 325 bank accounts belonging to NSEL director as well as borrowers

Today, Economic Offences Wing of the Mumbai Police attached assets worth Rs 3109.67 crore and has frozen 325 bank accounts held by NSEL directors as well as borrowers.

The total amount in the bank accounts so far is 172.15 crore. Properties attached in this case so far are 212 and according to the book of accounts, they are valued at Rs 2679.4 crore.

EOW has also attached shares and investments worth Rs 252.6 crore.

Today, Jignesh Shah and Joseph Massey, directors of NSEL had also come to EOW today to brief the police officials about the settlement recovery process.

Shah said that settlement talks are on with borrowers.
