Exporters offered good support at the Indian Coffee Trade Association (ICTA) auction held on Thursday. |
According to the auctioner Carritt Moran and Company, domestic roasters were active on old season coffees (crop grown in 2004-05) and the prices of coffees on offer were in line with the market at around last week's price levels. |
The auction saw 286 tonne on offer for sale (last week 256 tonne) 80 tonnes were sold (last week 54 tonne). Arabica comprised of 211 tonne (last week 205 tonne), Robusta 75 tonne (last week 51 tonne). |
Following are the prices quoted for grades in Rs/50kg. Arabica varieties: Arabica Parchment PB Rs 5,224 (quantity sold 4,544 kg), Arabica Parchment A Rs 5,325 (14,862 kg), Arabica Parchment B Rs 5,100 (11,651 kg), Arabica Parchment C Rs 4,650 (1,900 kg), Arabica Parchment BBB Rs 3,509 (5,386 kg), Arabica Cherry PB Rs 4,100 (1,220 kg), Arabica Cherry C Rs 3,150 (10,000 kg). |
