F&O: Nifty 4500 Call, 4000 Put in focus

The Nifty July futures ended with a marginal discount of two points at 4,338 as against the spot Nifty which settled at 4,340 (up 49 points). Around 701,754 contracts were traded today. The open interest increased by 1.53 million shares to 23.55 million shares.

NIFTY CALL ACTION

The Nifty 4,500 Call was the most active Call, and it ended at Rs 134. Around 97,434 contracts were traded, and the Call added 217,300 shares to its total open interest (OI) of 2.13 million shares. The 4,600 Call saw trades of around 79,445 contracts and the 4,400 Call recorded trades of 73,931 contracts. While the former saw a net addition of 132,950 shares to OI, the latter added 279,300 shares.

 

NIFTY PUT ACTION

The Nifty 4,000 Put was the most active Put, and it ended at Rs 82. Around 94,216 contracts were traded on the NSE today. The Put added 211,200 shares in open interest. The 4,100 Put saw trades of around 67,595 contracts and the 4,200 Put saw trades of around 61,153 contracts. While the former saw a net addition of 121,300 shares to OI, the latter added 21,050 shares.

MOST ACTIVE STOCK FUTURES

Reliance July future was the most active stock future with trades of around 40,872 contracts. The July future ended at a premium of Rs 9, at Rs 2,064. The contract added 412,800 shares in OI. Total OI now stands at 6.35 million shares. ICICI Bank and HDIL were the other active stock futures. While ICICI Bank OI rose to 10.36 million shares on addition of 508,550 million shares, HDIL saw a net addition of over 825,000 shares in OI to 13.01 million shares.

MOST ACTIVE STOCK OPTIONS

Reliance July Rs 2,100 Call was the most active stock option with trades of around 2,594 contracts. The Call ended at Rs 104. The OI stood at 222,900 shares, on addition of 37,050 shares today. HDFC Bank Rs 1,500 Call and Tata Steel Rs 400 Call are the other active stock options. HDFC Bank Rs 1,500 Call added 199,800 shares to total OI of 416,600 shares. Tata Steel Rs 400 Call saw an addition of around 40,492 shares in its total OI of 843,456 shares.
