F&O Update: Nifty Sept futures trims premium at close

The Nifty September futures trimmed its premium to 12 points (the premium has soared to 28 points in intra-day deals) and ended at 4,481 as against the spot Nifty which closed with a loss of 14 points at 4,469. The counter witnessed trades of around 5.39 lakh contracts and the open interest (OI) increased by 27.80 lakh shares to 3.40 crore shares.

CALL ACTION

The Nifty September 4,500 call was the most active counter with trades of around 1.71 lakh contracts, and the open interest increased by 49,900 shares to 35.16 lakh shares.

The Nifty 4,600 call recorded trades of over 1.10 lakh contracts, and the open interest increased by over ten lakh shares to 38.41 lakh shares.

 

The Nifty 4,700 and 4,400 calls witnessed trades of around 50,400 and 46,000, contracts, respectively. The 4,700 call open interest increased 4.67 lakh shares to 21.81 lakh shares, and the open interest in 4,400 call declined 40,450 shares to 30.25 lakh shares.

PUT ACTION

The Nifty September 4,400 put was the most actively traded counter with trades of over 83,000 contracts, and the open interest increased by 11.71 lakh shares to 31.71 lakh shares.

The Nifty 4,300, 4,500 and 4,200 puts witnessed trades of around 55,200, 42,200 and 40,000 contracts, respectively. The 4,300 put open interest increased by 4.30 lakh shares to 49.56 lakh shares, the 4,500 open interest rose by 7.67 lakh shares to 17.50 lakh shares and 4,200 put open interest was up by 29,000 shares to 49.60 lakh shares.

The Nifty 4,100 and 4,000 puts recorded trades of around 15,200 and 12,900, contracts, respectively. The 4,100 put open interest increased by 83,850 shares to 19.31 lakh shares, and 4,000 put open interest declined by 1.46 lakh shares to over 32 lakh shares.
