FIIs remain sellers, outflow at Rs 218cr

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) recorded net sales of Rs 217.7 crore ($49.7 million) in equities for the trading week ended April 29 while mutual funds (MFs) were net purchasers at Rs 320.71 crore.

FIIs were also net sellers at Rs 70.7 crore ($16.2 million) in the debt market for the period under review, according to data available with Sebi. Mutual funds were net purchasers in the debt market at Rs 808.88 crore.

Foreign funds recorded the highest net outflow of the trading week in equities at Rs 325.20 crore ($74.40 million) on April 28.

The Sensex declined 192 points during the week under review, to close at 6,154.44 points.
