The stocks of companies engaged in the chemicals business have done well in the last three months from October to January on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
 
Punjab Chemicals shares rose from Rs 143.19 on October 1 to today's close of Rs 151.35 and Sree Rayalaseema Hi-Strength from Rs 4.44 to Rs 8.10.
 
Nikhil Adhesives gained from Rs 11.50 to Rs 15.05 and S S Organics from Rs 17 to Rs 25.50. Hiran Orgochem firmed up from Rs 33.15 to Rs 35.50 and Industrial Organics from Rs 7.05 to Rs 19.05.
 
Daikaffil Chemicals strengthened from Rs 4.01 to Rs 6, Arvind Chemicals from Rs 13.50 to Rs 24.70 and Avon Organics from Rs 37.10 to Rs 53. United Phosphorus moved up Rs 662.40 to Rs 710.70, Bhagiradha Chemicals from Rs 33 to Rs 80.
 
Syngenta India increased from Rs 330.25 to Rs 380.70, Camphor & Allied rose from Rs 48.80 to Rs 54.10 and Beck India from 115.65 to Rs 217.55.
 
Small gainers included Futuristic Offshore Services from Rs 1.65 to Rs 3.55, Citurgia Biochem (MA) from Rs 10 to Rs 14.56, Sunitee Chemicals from Rs 1.33 to Rs 1.92, Sarang Chemicals from Rs 1.59 to Rs 1.32 and Vision Organics from Rs 0.95 to Rs 2.36.
 
Shreeji Phosphate fell from Rs 0.92 to Rs 0.87.
