The Sensex is exhibiting strong movement since opening trades. The index has touched a high of 15,910, up 221 points. The BSE-30 share index is now at 15,907, up 218 points.
The NSE Nifty is now at 4,750, up 70 points.
Tata Motors has soared 6.5% to Rs 540. Relaince Communications has surged 5% to Rs 307.
Jaiprakash Associates and Bharti Airtel have surged nearly 5% each to Rs 228 and Rs 425, respectively.
DLF, ICICI Bank and Sterlite have gained nearly 3% to Rs 426, Rs 765 and Rs 689, respectively.
TCS and Tata Steel have advanced 2.5% each to Rs 546 and Rs 440, respectively.
Tata Power, Larsen & Toubro, Reliance Infrastructure, Hindalco and Wipro have added 1.5% each.
Among the Nifty stocks, BPCL has soared nearly 6% to Rs 591. Jindal Steel has rallied 4.5% to Rs 3,435.
The market breadth is extremely positive - out of 2,766 stocks, 2,168 have advanced and 544 have declined so far.
