Food scrips get domestic boost

The stock prices of food products and food processing companies have gained heftily in last three months along with the overall improvement in the economy and across the board rally in stock prices.
The stock price of ADF Foods has gained from Rs 7.90 on October 1 to yesterday's close of Rs 11.30, registering a rise of 43.04 per cent. During the same period the share price of Agro Dutch Industries zoomed up from Rs 28.30 to Rs 39.85, up 40.81 per cent.
Bambino Agro shares increased from Rs 5 to Rs 6.65, up 33.00 per cent, while Britannia Industries gained from Rs 551.15 to Rs 663.55, up 20.39 per cent and Chaman Lal Set appreciated from Rs 15.15 to Rs 19.90, up 31.35 per cent.
Chordia Food moved up from Rs 15.60 to Rs 17.20, up 10.26 per cent, DFM Foods shot up from Rs 6.23 to Rs 8.10, up 30.02 per cent. Similarly, during the same period stock price of Flex Foods zoomed up from Rs 9.91 to Rs 12.90, up 30.17 per cent.
Godrej Consumer Products increased from Rs 146.90 to Rs 168.35, up 14.60 per cent, Heritage Foods gained from Rs 71 to Rs 104.10, up 46.62 per cent and Hindustan Ind appreciated from Rs 9.40 to Rs 12.50, up 32.98 per cent.
Hindustan Lever moved up from Rs 184.20 to Rs 199.70, up 8.41 per cent, Nestle India zoomed up from Rs 581.25 to Rs 640.70, up 10.23 per cent and Nijjer Agro gained from Rs 3.52 to Rs 3.75, up 6.53 per cent.
Parry's Confectionery increased from Rs 142 to Rs 176.35, 24.19 per cent, Satnam Overseas gained from Rs 44.70 to Rs 87.25, up 95.19 per cent, while Tai Industries appreciated from Rs 9 to Rs 10.37, up 15.22 per cent.
Tarai Foods strengthened from Rs1 to Rs 1.61 while Tasty Bite Eat increased from Rs 29 to Rs 33, up 13.79 per cent.
