Freak Deal, Vst Bidding Props Itc

Cigarette major ITC hit a 52-week high of Rs 877, before closing 3.45 per cent higher at Rs 811.85. More than 4.17 lakh shares of the company were traded on the BSE.

Interestingly, the ITC scrip shot up due to a freak deal in early trades. Market sources said the freak deal may have been a deliberate attempt to increase the scrip price.
