Fresh eco recovery worries drag US markets

US markets ended down on Wednesday following the pessimistic view of the economy given by the Federal Reserve.

The Dow dropped 53 points to 8,422. The Nasdaq was flat at 1,728.

Indian ADRs were mixed.

Dr Reddy's surged 4% to $12.89. Genpact and MTNL gained 3% each at $10.6 and $3.55.

Patni Computers rose 2% to $9.01. Sterlite advanced 1.5% to $11.35.

On the other hand, ICICI Bank shed 3% at $28.38. Infosys slipped 2.5% to $32.21.

HDFC Bank, Tata Motors and Wipro also dropped 1-2% each.
