FTIL-Hutch deal brings dealing desk to cellphone

Financial Technologies (FTIL) and mobile telecom operator Hutch on Thursday launched i-Win, a system that brings the entire functions of a dealing desk to a mobile phone.
 
In a media release, the two partners claimed that this service was the world's first full fledged real-time dealing desk available on a mobile phone. The media release also said that Kotak Securities and Sunidhi Consultancy have become the first brokers to sign up for this service.
 
The i-Win service provides stock market access and trading facilities to Hutch and Orange GPRS users anywhere, anytime, through an alliance with leading stock broking firms Kotak Securities and Sunidhi Consultancy Services. i-Win makes available to stock market participants complete dealing desk trading functionalities on a mobile phone.
 
i-Win service is being launched in a phased manner, starting with Mumbai, and will be extended to other Hutch circles subsequently.
