ACC has zoomed nearly 5% to Rs 501. Maruti, Bharti Airtel, Satyam, SBI and ITC have rallied around 4.5% each to Rs 576, Rs 749, Rs 483, Rs 1,178 and Rs 178, respectively.
ICICI Bank and Hindustan Unilever have advanced around 4% each to Rs 625 and Rs 625, respectively.
DLF and ONGC have gained 3.3% each at Rs 429 and Rs 905, respectively.
Tata Steel and Grasim are up 3% each at Rs 659 and Rs 1,745, respectively.
Tata Motors is down 1% at Rs 397.
