The NSE Nifty is up 130 points at 4,077.
ICICI Bank has zoomed over 11% to Rs 613, and HDFC has soared over 10% to Rs 2,080. HDFC Bank has surged 8% to Rs 1,034.
Reliance Infrastrucutre, SBI and DLF have rallied around 6% each to Rs 857, Rs 1,302 and Rs 453, respectively.
Bharti Airtel and Jaiprakash Associates have surged 5.7% each to Rs 792 and Rs 157, respectively. ITC has gained 5.5% at Rs 177.
BHEL and Reliance Communications have advanced over 5% each to Rs 1,528 and Rs 439, respectively.
NTPC has moved up 4.7% to Rs 172. Reliance and ONGC are up around 4% each at Rs 2,100 and Rs 939, respectively.
Satyam has slumped over 7% to Rs 384. Wipro has plunged over 4% to Rs 364, and Infosys has shed 2.8% at Rs 1,538.
Ranbaxy has dropped 2.6% to Rs 440. Tata Steel has slipped 1.7% to Rs 597.
