The BSE Bankex has soared 5.5% to 6,959, and the Realty index has surged 4% to 4,943.
SBI has zoomed 6% to Rs 1,389, and ICICI Bank has soared 5.8% to Rs 671.
BHEL and Reliance Infrastructure have surged around 5% each to Rs 1,707 and Rs 983, respectively.
HDFC and HDFC Bank have rallied around 4.5% each to Rs 2,345 and Rs 1,270, respectively.
Jaiprakash Associates and Tata Steel have advanced around 4% each to Rs 163 and Rs 594, respectively.
Reliance Communications and Maruti have gained 3.7% each at Rs 400 and Rs 653, respectively.
Larsen & Toubro, DLF and Tata Motors have added 3.3% each to Rs 2,586, Rs 484 and Rs 431, respectively.
Out of 2,538 stocks traded so far, 1,774 have advanced, 676 have declined and 88 are unchanged.
