Gains intact; Sensex up 502pts

The Sensex is now up 502 points at 9798.

Reliance Energy has surged 12.7% to Rs 425. Grasim has soared over 11% to Rs 1,747, and Reliance has rallied 10.3% to Rs 910.

ITC has rallied 8.5% to Rs 160. Larsen & Toubro, HDFC and NTPC have gained over 8% each at Rs 2,037, Rs 1,199 and Rs 108, respectively.

Out of 2,421 stocks traded so far, 1,493 have advanced, 894 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
