Gains intact, Sensex up 96pts

The Sensex is now up 96 points at 13,883.

Maruti has rallied 3% to Rs 956, and Bajaj Auto has gained 2.5% at Rs 2,685.

Ranbaxy has flared up 1.7% to Rs 399. Gujarat Ambuja and Satyam have moved up 1.4% each to Rs 143 and Rs 491, respectively.

Tata Motors and NTPC have advanced 1.3% each to Rs 912 and Rs 138, respectively.

Hindalco, Reliance Energy and ICICI Bank are the other prominent gainers.

Hero Honda has slipped nearly 1% to Rs 755.

Out of 2,426 stocks traded so far, 1,844 have advanced, 527 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
