The Sensex touched a high of 10,377, and is now up 446 points at 10,348.
The BSE Realty index has surged 8% to 1,777. The Metal index has soared over 6% to 6,177. The Bankex and Capital Goods indexes have rallied over 5% each to 4,842 and 6,791, respectively.
Tata Motors has zoomed nearly 13% to Rs 203. DLF has soared over 11% to Rs 196, and Jaiprakash Associates has surged 10% to Rs 94.
Reliance Communications has rallied 8.5% to Rs 195. Mahindra & Mahindra has gained 7.7% at Rs 425.
Larsen & Toubro, Tata Power and Reliance Infrastructure have moved up 6.7% each to Rs 718, Rs 848 and Rs 587, respectively.
Wipro, Tata Steel and SBI have gained around 6.5% each at Rs 268, Rs 223 and Rs 1,142, respectively.
HDFC and Sterlite have advanced over 6% each at Rs 1,599 and Rs 373, respectively.
The market breadth is exremely positive - out of 2,393 stocks traded so far, 1,822 have advanced, 494 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
