Gains wiped out, Sensex flat; ICICI drops 4%

The Sensex has erased all its gains and is now flat at 18,156 - up three points.

The NSE Nifty is up 20 points at 5,294.

Infosys, Grasim and Wipro have surged around 3% each to Rs 1,494, Rs 3,035 and Rs 418, respectively.

ITC has rallied 2.8% to Rs 202. Cipla has advanced 2.4% to Rs 189, and HDFC has added 2% to Rs 2,839.

ONGC and TCS have moved up 1.7% each to Rs 1,019 and Rs 869, respectively.

Tata Steel and Ranbaxy have gained 1.5% each at Rs 709 and Rs 355, respectively.

DLF and Ambuja Cements are up over 1% each at Rs 904 and Rs 116, respectively.

ICICI Bank has plunged 3.7% to Rs 1,227.

Bajaj Auto has dropped 3% to Rs 2,385, and Maruti has shed 2.6% at Rs 840.

Reliance Energy, SBI and Larsen & Toubro are down over 1% each at Rs 2,072, Rs 2,280 and Rs 3,800, respectively.
