GARDEN SILK MILLS shares increased 6.51 per cent to close the day at Rs 65.4 on a proposed Rs 150 crore capital outlay for setting up processing & spinning plants. The company is setting up a plant for polyester filament grade chips with a capacity of about 300 tons per day (tpd) with a spinning capacity of about 100 tpd. Garden is also expanding its yarn processing capacity.
The stock opened at Rs 62.95 and made an intraday high/low of Rs 66/62. The scrip made a 52-week-high of Rs 66 (May 21, 2009) and a low of Rs 24.55 (January 19, 2009).
