Global indices drop; Indian ADRs slip too

The Nikkei has slumped 161 points to 17,257. The Hang Seng has shed 90 points to 16,386.

The Wall Street ended on a sub-dued note yesterday amid rising oil prices and global worries. The Dow dropped 52 points to 11,090. The Nasdaq slipped 23 points to 2310.

The Indian ADRs, too, finished in a sea of red. Satyam plunged 3.7% to $37.28. ICICI Bank dropped over 3% to $27.08, and Wipro tumbled 2.6% to $14.12. HDFC Bank and Patni Computers were down nearly 2% each at $56.22 and $19.60, respectively.
