Shares of GM Breweries and 8K Miles Software Services have touched their respective lifetime highs on the BSE in an otherwise weak market ahead of their third quarter results. Both these companies are scheduled to announce their October-December quarter earnings during this week.
GM Breweries has zoomed 14% to Rs 1,068, extending its Friday’s 18% rally on the BSE. 8K Miles Software Services surged 4% to Rs 2,300, after gaining 4% in previous trading sessions. At 09:34 a.m. the S&P BSE Sensex was down 0.55% or 143 points at 26,018.
The board of directors of GM Breweries will meet on January 07, 2016, while the board of 8K Miles on January 8, to consider and to take on record the unaudited financial results for the quarter ended December 31, 2015, both these companies said in a separate regulatory filing.
GM Breweries, the company engaged in country liquor business, had posted four-fold jump in its standalone net profit at Rs 9.43 crore for the second quarter ended September 2015 (Q2). It had registered a profit of Rs 2.33 crore in the same quarter year ago.
8K Miles Software Services had also reported more than doubled consolidated net profit of Rs 8.74 crore in Q2 quarter. The small-sized company engaged in internet software and services business had profit of Rs 4.15 crore in the year ago quarter.
Post Q2 results, shares of GM Breweries zoomed 136% from Rs 453 on October 19, while 8K Miles gained 29% from Rs 1,781 on October 8 on the BSE.
