Gold falls Rs 70

Gold prices snapped its two-day gains and dropped Rs 70 per 10 gm to Rs 13,325 on the bullion market here today on fresh stockists offerings on the back of a fall in overseas markets. Gold prices slipped 1 per cent in London as oil dropped and the Euro extended losses against the dollar, while physical demand was seen softening.

Gold was trading at $844.60 an ounce down from 853.60 in New York late on Friday. Turning to the local market, standard gold (99.5 purity) moved down by Rs 70 per 10 grams to Rs 13,325 from the last weekend’s level of Rs 13,395.
