Gold futures down 0.16% on global cues

Weak global trend affected gold futures trade here

Gold futures for April fell by Rs 49, or 0.16%, to Rs 30,591 per 10 grams in 5,861 lots.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the June contract moved down by Rs 37, or 0.12%, to Rs 31,060 per 10 grams in 172 lots.

Prices dropped as speculators trimmed positions.

Weak global trend affected the gold futures trade here.

In Singapore, gold lost 0.3% to $1,642.90 an ounce, the cheapest since January 4.
