Taking cues from firming Asian markets, gold prices rose by Rs 27 to Rs 20,687 per ten gram in futures trade today.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, gold for April- month contract edged up by Rs 27, or 0.13 per cent to Rs 20,687 per ten gram, with a business turnover of two lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in February gained Rs 21, or 0.10 per cent to Rs 20,494 per ten gram, with a business volume of four lots.
Market analysts said firming trend in Asian markets, supported the upside in gold prices in futures trade here.
Meanwhile, gold gained 0.5 per cent to $1,377.23 an ounce in Seoul.
