Gold shot up again today and closed higher after the threat of war reappeared on the horizon.
On the domestic front, standard gold closed at Rs 5,910, against Rs 5,830 from yesterday. The 10-tola bar or TT bar closed at Rs 69,200 against Rs 68,350 from yesterday.
Silver of 0.999 purity closed at Rs 8,195 per kg against Rs 8,140 yesterday. Internationally,gold kept a range on either side of $370.00 an ounce in light Asian trades, mostly keeping overnight gains in the face of a stronger dollar ahead of European trading. Renewed fears of war pushed the gold back to Monday's levels of over US$ 370 an ounce.
