Gram, dal up on retailers demand

Gram and its dal prices rose up to Rs 50 per quintal in an other wise steady wholesale pulses market today.

Other commodities, however,continued to trade around previous levels in the absence of worthwhile activity.

Traders said pick up in retailers demand against restricted arrivals mainly led to rise in gram and its dal prices.

In the national capital, gram rose by Rs 20 to Rs 2,400-2,425, while gram dal local and best quality were up by Rs 50 each to Rs 2,700-2,715 and Rs 2,800-2,900 per quintal, respectively.

Following are today's quotations in Rs per quintal:
