Gram, its dal up on retailers demand

Barring a rise in gram and its dal on retailers demand, other pulses remained steady in the wholesale pulses market today.  

Traders said pick up in retailers demand against restricted arrivals from producing belts mainly pushed up the wholesale gram and its dal prices.  

In the national capital, gram rose by Rs 50 to Rs 2,365-2,390, while its dal local and best quality traded higher by the same margin to Rs 2,725-2,740 and Rs 2,825-2,925 per quintal, respectively. 

Following are today's quotations in Rs per quintal:  

Urad 4,000-4,400, Urad chilka (local) 4,900-5,300, best 5,400-5,900, Dhoya 5,350-5,450, Moong 4,075-5,075, Dal moong chilka local 5,100-5,500, Moong Dhoya local 5,400-5,600 and best quality 6,000-6,200

 

Masoor small 3,000-3,200, bold 3,150-3,400, Dal Masoor local 3,550-3,650, best quality 3,850-4,150, Malka local 3,500-3,550, best 3,650-3,750, Moth 1,900-2,200, Arhar 3,400-3,900, dal arhar dara 5,000-5,400

Gram 2,365-2,390, gram dal (local) 2,725-2,740, best quality 2,825-2,925, besan (35 kg) Shakti bhog 1,150, Rajdhani 1,150, Rajmah chitra Pune 3,500-3,900, China 3,600-4,100, red 3,850-3,950
