Gram recovers on retailers demand

Gram and its dal prices recovered upto Rs 50 per quintal in the wholesale pulses market today on retailers demand. Elsewhere, prices moved in a narrow range on scattered buying or selling and settled around previous levels.

Marketmen said fresh demand from retailers against limited arrivals led to a rise in wholesale gram and and its dal prices. Meanwhile, PEC has invited bids for import of 12,000 tonne of pulses.

Gram recovered by Rs 50 to Rs 2,125-2,200, while its dal local and best quality rose Rs 50 each to Rs 2,400-2,425 and Rs 2,600-2,700 per quintal.
