Shares of Granules India were up over 4% at Rs 120 on the Bombay Stock Exchange after the company announced that it has received approval from the USFDA for Ibuprofen tablets.
The USFDA has approved the Abbreviated New Drug Applications for Ibuprofen tables of USP in dosages of 400mg, 600mg and 800mg, the company said in release.
"It's my pleasure to state that USFDA completed the review of Ibuprofen ANDA filed by us and has given its final approval. It will further strengthen our base business and enable us to increase our product offering to our customers in USA," the release added quoting chairman and managing director C Krishna Prasad.
The stock opened at Rs 120 and touched a high of Rs 123. At 11AM, over 1.5 million shares were traded on both the stock exchanges.
