Groundnut oil firmed up further at the oilseeds market here today due to sustained demand from retailers and traders on the back of ensuing festivities.
Refined palmolein also edged up on good buying support. Castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial rose on persistent demand from exporters and soap manufacturing units.
Castorseed futures maintained the rising trend owing to better export orders.
In the edible segment, groundnutoil gained by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 865 from overnight closing level of Rs 860 and refined palmolein inched up to Rs 474 per 10kg from Rs 473 previously.
Turning to non-edible section, castorseeds bold moved up by Rs 10 per 100kg to Rs 3,900 from Rs 3,890 and castoroil commercial edged up by Rs 2 per 10 kg to Rs 810 yesterday. Linseedoil held steady at Rs 550 per 10 kg.
Moving to futures section, castorseeds December contract resumed lower at Rs 3,545 and dropped further to Rs 3,535 but, late recovered smartly to close at Rs 3,558 as against Rs 3,547 yesterday, showing a further rise of Rs 11 per tonne.
