Groundnut oil maintains rising trend

linseed oilGroundnut oil prices continued to maintain its rising trend at the oils and oilseeds market here today due to consistent demand from retailers on the back of restricted arrivals from producing regions. 

Refined palmolein also looked up on fresh consumer offtake amidst higher Malaysian advices.

Castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial eased further in the absence of demand from soap industries.

In futures market, castorseeds moved up on renewed export enquiries.

In the edible segment, groundnut oil rose by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 960 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 955 and refined palmolein inched up by a rupee to end at Rs 533 per 10 kg.  

 

Turning to non-edible section, castorseeds bold declined by by Rs 10 per 100 kg to Rs 4,735 from Rs 4,745 and castor oil commercial edged down by Rs 2 per 10 kg to Rs 977 as against to to Rs 979.

Linseed oil closed unchanged at Rs 720 per 10 kg. 

Moving to futures section, castorseeds for September delivery resumed higher at Rs 4,670 and firmed up further to Rs 4,698 before closing at Rs 4,660 from Rs 4650 yesterday, showing a nominal rise of Rs 10 per tonne.
