Groundnut oil prices declined further in an otherwise subdued oil and oilseeds market here today due to lack of demand from stockists and retailers amid higher arrivals from producing regions.

Refined palmolein, however closed steady in the absence of worthwhile buying activity. Castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial fell on lower industrial demand.

Castorseeds futures market too drifted on sluggish export enquiries.

In edible oil segment, groundnut oil dropped by Rs 10 to Rs 720 per 10 kg from last weekend's closing level of Rs 730, while refined palmolein held steady at Rs 488 per 10 kg.

Turning to non-edible section, castorseeds bold moved down by Rs 10 to Rs 3,815 per 100 kg from Rs 3,825 and castoroil commercial edged down by Rs 2 to Rs 793 per 10 kg as against Rs 795 previously.
Moving to futures trade, castorseeds for December delivery resumed lower at Rs 3,510 and traded in a range of Rs 3,525 and Rs 3,490 before ending at Rs 3,498 from Rs 3,513 last weekend, showing a loss of Rs 15 per tonne.
