Groundnut oil prices continued to rise at the oils and oilseeds market here today due to consistent buying from stockists and bulk consumers.
While, refined palmolein maintained a steady trend in the absence of market-moving factors. Linseed oil rose further on increased demand from paint industries coupled with restricted supplies.
Castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial firmed up owing to strong demestic as well as export demand. Castorseeds futures market also moved up on better offtake from traders supported by firm spot market demand.
In the edible segment, groundnut oil gain by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 850 from Monday's closing level of Rs 845. Refined palmolein closed unaltered at Rs 575 per 10 kg.
Turning to non-edible oil section, linseed oil rose by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 675 from its overnight closing level of Rs 665.
Castorseeds bold hardened by Rs 35 per 100 kg to Rs 5,175 from Rs 5,140 and castoroil commercial edged higher by Rs 7 per 10 kg to Rs 1,065 as compared to Rs 1,058 yesterday.
Moving to futures section, castorseeds for June delivery resumed higher at Rs 4,911 and advanced further to Rs 4,925 before closing at Rs 4,900 against 4,893 previously, showing a modest gain of Rs 7 per tonne.
