GTL shares jump on CDR approval buzz

Shares of GTL Ltd and GTL Infrastructure rose in the second half of the trading session amid market buzz that the companies’ debt restructuring proposal had got approval. GTL stocks jumped 14 per cent in the day before settling at Rs 68.75, up 8.5 per cent. GTL Infra’s shares bounced nine per cent before closing at Rs 13.51, up 4.4 per cent. GTL has a debt of Rs 6,000 crore, the majority being unsecured.
