Guargum prices declined by Rs 168 to Rs 8,175 per quintal in the futures trading today due to ample supply amid reduced offtake in spot markets.
Market analysts said tracking weak domestic markets trend, traders indulged in booking profit at existing higher levels.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guargum prices for delivery in April month dropped by Rs 161, or 2.01 per cent, to Rs 8,175 per quintal, with an open interest of 35,865 lots.
Similarly, guargum for delivery in March went down by Rs 161, or 1.97 per cent, to Rs 7,998 per quintal, with an open interest of 12,635 lots.
