Guarseed prices declined by Rs 29 or 1.22 per cent to Rs 2,345 per quintal in futures trading on heavy selling by traders in line with lower spot markets cues.
Marketmen said fall in demand from guargum and cattle- feed makers amid increased supply held guarseed futures prices.
In the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange platform, the guarseed prices for August contract dipped by Rs 29, or 1.22 per cent to Rs 2,345 per quintal, with an open interest of 960 lots.
May-month contract moved down by Rs 21, or 0.91 per cent to Rs 2,297 per quintal, with an open interest of 32,150 lots, while June-month contract traded lower by Rs 22 or 0.94 per cent at Rs 2,315 per quintal, with an open interest of 1,40,100 lots.
