Guarseed futures dip on aggressive selling

Guarseed prices moved down by Rs 72 to Rs 4,260 per quintal in futures trade today following aggressive selling by traders.

Market analysts said apart from profit-booking at existing higher levels, lower spot market sentiments put pressure on guarseed futures prices.

A fall in export demand also pulled influenced the trading sentiment to some extent, they added. 

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guarseed for October delivery lost Rs 72, or 1.66%, to Rs 4,260 per quintal, with an open interest of 36,730 lots. 

Likewise, guarseed prices for August delivery shed Rs 49, or 1.13%, to Rs 4,299 per quintal, with an open interest of 58,030 lots.

 

For September delivery, the prices moved down by Rs 49, or 1.13%, to Rs 4,331 per quintal, with an open interest of 1,21,060 lots.
