Guarseed prices declined by Rs 49 to Rs 4,458 per quintal in futures trading today following profit taking at existing higher levels.
Marketmen said traders were interested in off-loading a part of their holdings at current higher levels which pulled down the prices.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guarseed for delivery in February fell by Rs 49, or 1.09%, to Rs 4,458 per quintal, with an open interest of 5,060 lots.
The December contract moved down by Rs 39, or 0.90%, to Rs 4,280 per quintal, with an open interest of 1,71,380 lots.
Prices for delivery in November eased by Rs 25, or 0.59%, to Rs 4,191 per quintal, with an open interest of 30,250 lots.
