Guarseed futures fell on profit taking

Guarseed prices turned weak by Rs 20 to Rs 2,398 per quintal in futures trading today on emergence of profit booking at existing higher levels.

Marketmen said after yesterday's sharp rise, traders preferred to offload their holdings at prevailing higher levels.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange platform, guarseed for current-month December contract declined by Rs 20 or 0.83 per cent to Rs 2,398 per quintal, with an open interest of 20,630 lots. 

The January contract too dipped by Rs 21, or 0.85 per cent to Rs 2,445 per quintal, with an open interest of 1,58,630 lots.
