Guarseed futures gains on fresh buying support

Guarseed futures prices hardened by Rs 80 to Rs 3,425 per quintal today, following fresh buying support by traders.

Market analysts said low level buying, supported by pick up in demand at physical markets, mainly influenced the trading sentiments here in futures.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guarseed prices for October contract rose by Rs 80, or 2.39%, to Rs 3,425 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 260 lots.

Current month May's contract hardened by Rs 37 or 1.15%, to Rs 3,265 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 4,810 lots.

Most active near June month contract also went up by Rs 35, or 1.06%, to Rs 3,324 per quintal, with an open interest of 2,07,980 lots.
