Guarseed futures jumps on fresh buying

Guarseed prices improved by Rs 32, or 1.52 per cent, to Rs 2,137 per quintal today, following brisk buying by traders in line with firm spot markets sentiment.

Marketmen said heavy demand from guargum making industries against restricted supply, mainly led the rise in guarseed futures prices.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange counter, guarseed delivery for December surged Rs.32, or 1.52 per cent, to Rs 2,137 per quintal, with an open interest of 99,340 lots. 

Guarseed for October delivery also hardened by Rs 30, or 1.47 per cent, to Rs 2,073 per quintal, with an open interest of 35,400 lots, while that for November gained Rs 31, or 1.49 per cent, to Rs 2,105 per quintal, with an open interest of 1,52,350 lots.
