Guarseed prices recovered by Rs 15 or 0.68 per cent to Rs 2,234 per quintal in futures trading today on short covering by traders.
Marketmen said after sell-off, traders preferred to raise their holdings, this put prices in green zone. Floods-like situation in several parts of Rajasthan affected the warehouse stocks, helped prices to boost, they added.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guarseed prices for August-month improved by Rs 15 or 0.68 per cent to Rs 2,234 per quintal, with an open interest of 24,490 lots.
Current June contract delivery also went up by Rs 11 or 0.50 per cent to Rs 2,208 per quintal, with an open interest of 77,460 lots.
