Guarseed prices fell by Rs 53, or 2.25 per cent, to Rs 2,299 per quintal in futures trade today on aggressive selling by traders, in tandem with weak spot market cues.
Marketmen said aggressive selling by traders, after tracking a lower trend in physical markets, was the main reason for the fall in guarseed futures prices.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange counter, guarseed for delivery in November contract tumbled by Rs 53, or 2.25 per cent, to Rs 2,299 per quintal, with an open interest of 320 lots.
Current-month July contract also declined by Rs 31, or 1.37 per cent, to Rs 2,237 per quintal, clocked an open interest of 1,06,430 lots.
