Guarseed prices rose by Rs 23 or 1.02 per cent to Rs 2,287 per quintal in futures trade today on renewed buying by traders amid firming spot market sentiment.

Marketmen said aggressive buying by traders along with restricted supply and better demand in physical markets, pushed up guarseed futures prices.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange counter, guarseed prices for October-month contract looked up by Rs 23 or 1.02 per cent to Rs 2,287 per quintal, with an open interest of 470 lots.

The June contract delivery too remained in keen demand, rose Rs 14 or 0.63 per cent to Rs 2,234 per quintal, with an open interest of 73,010 lots.
