Guarseed prices moved up by Rs 24 to Rs 3,072 per quintal in future trading today on increased buying driven by higher spot demand.
Market analysts said pick-up in demand from guargum making industries against fall in supply at physical markets, influenced the trading sentiments.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guarseed prices for May delivery contract increased by Rs 24, or 0.79% to Rs 3,072 per quintal, with an open interest of 1,85,240 lots.
Gaurseed prices for delivery in June also went up by Rs 21, or 0.68 to Rs 3,119 per quintal, with an open interest of 35,950 lots.
