Gur chakku up in Delhi on paucity of stocks

Gur chakku prices rose by Rs 50 per quintal in the national capital today following pick-up in demand amid restricted supply. Muzaffarnagar gur market also showed a rise of Rs 100 per quintal due to fall in supply amid better offtake.

Market analysts said fall in production due to adverse weather conditions in manufacturing areas against rising demand mainly pushed up the prices.

In Delhi, gur chakku moved up from Rs 2,750-2,850 to settle at Rs 2,800-2,900 per quintal. At Muzaffarnagar, gur chakku prices advanced from Rs 2,325-2,500 to Rs 2,425-2,550, showing a net gain of Rs 100 per quintal.

 

Strong demand from beer and cattle-feed making industries also pushed up the prices of gur raskat by Rs 75 to Rs 2,250-2,325 per quintal.

Chakku Rs 2,800-2,900, pedi Rs 2,900-3,000, Dhayya Rs 3,100-3,200, and Shakkar Rs 3,100-3,200
Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 2,250-2,325, chakku Rs 2,425-2,550 and Khurpa N.T      Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,650-2,700 and Dhaya Rs NA
