Gur ends flat in thin trade

There was no change in the pattern of trading on the wholesale jaggery market here today as gur prices continued to trade in a tight range in restricted activities against adequate supply and closed at last levels.  

Market analysts said adequate stocks position on increased arrival from producing regions against restricted buying mainly kept gur prices steady.

They said a similar steady conditions developed in other major markets like Muzaffarnagar and Muradnage further influenced the market sentiment.

Following were today's quotations in Rs per quintal.

Chakku Rs 2,250-2,300, pedi 2,250-2,300, Dhayya Rs 2,300-2,350 and Shakkar Rs 2,450-2,500 Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 1,700-1,800, chakku Rs 2,000-2,200 and Khurpa Rs 1,950-2,000 Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,000-2,050 and Dhaya Rs 2,050-2,100
