Gur ends flat on restricted supply

Gur prices ended on a quiet note in the national capital today following scattered small buying against restricted supply.

On the other hand, gur khurpa prices declined in Muzaffarnagar and gur dhayya in Muradnagar on sluggish demand.

Market analysts said slackness in demand amid increased supply, mainly pulled down gur prices.

In Muzaffarnagar, gur khurpa prices moved down from Rs 2,000-2,050 to Rs 1,975-2,000 per quintal.

At Muradnagar, gur dhayya lost from Rs 2,100-2,125 to Rs 2,050-2,100 per quintal.

Following were today's quotations in Rs per quintal. 

Chakku Rs 2,250-2,300, pedi 2,250-2,300, Dhayya Rs 2,300-2,350 and Shakkar Rs 2,500-2,550, respectively
Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 1,750-1,850, chakku Rs 2,050-2,250 and Khurpa Rs 1,975-2,000
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,000-2,050 and Dhaya Rs 2,050-2,100
